Please join America’s Boating Club of Greenwich to hear Captain Bilski’s Long Island Sound fascinating tales (and exciting trials.)
Sea Tow is the #1 choice of boaters nationwide for boat towing and expert on-water assistance. They help boaters connect to highly professional, experienced captains who can help when it matters most.
In 2018 Capt. John Bilski took over the Sea Tow franchise covering the water from Greenwich to Milford, trading an insurance industry workplace for a snug office in a tiny cottage along the waterfront promenade at Bridgeport’s Captain’s Cove where his distinctive yellow and black Sea Tow vessel is moored.
He manages three full-time captains, two backup captains, and two on-call scuba divers – the latter come in if lines need to be attached below the surface or if a boat requires salvaging. They are always monitoring the VHF channels used by boaters out on the water, both at the Captain’s Cove location and in their homes.
“I was pretty much on the water from day one of my life,” Capt. Bilski says. “I used to fish with my family and we always vacationed on the water. I’ve been a boater and scuba diver and fished in these waters my entire life. So when the opportunity came up of buying the franchise, I jumped at it.”
NOTE: Members of America’s Boating Club enjoy many popular benefits, one of which is a 10% discount to Sea Tow. Details will be available at the event.
