Night Boat to New York: Steamboats on the Connecticut, 1824-1931, is a portrait of the vanished steamboat days–when a procession of stately sidewheelers plied between Hartford and New York City, on the East River in the shadow of the Brooklyn Bridge. Erik Hesselberg, has been writing about the Connecticut River for 20 years, first as an environmental reporter for the Middletown Press, and then as executive editor of Shore Line Newspapers in Guilford. CT. He was President of the Middlesex County Historical Society.

July 31, 4pm: Lobster Party, Clambake Area, Greenwich Point Park, Old Greenwich

All Summer: Weekly sail- and power-boat sunset cruises out of various docks in our area
And monthly raft-ups at our mooring in Greenwich cove.

OUR MOORING in Greenwich Cove is in place and available during the boating season. Any member is welcome to tie up during the day. Coordinates are: La 41° 00′ 86″ N   Lo 073° 34′ 73″ W  Your boat should fly the squadron burgee, available for $20 from GreenwichSquadron@gmail.com
