District 2 Fall Conference

October 12-13, 2012, held in Tarrytown, NY

Best Practices: At the recent District 2 Fall Conference (October 12-13) in Tarrytown, District Commander Susan Ryan displays a poster of events and speakers at the “Best Practices” table as an example of how to revitalize a squadron. Most of the flyers are from GSPS events over the last five years.

50 Years: Also at the Fall Conference, Susan and USPS Chief Commander John Alter (center) honor Ed Weber of the Mid-Hudson squadron with a plaque commemorating his 50 years of USPS membership.

Greenwich Hosts the District 2 Conference

The D2 Conference: At the Registration Desk at the recent USPS District 2 Conference are Harry Twitchell, Registration Commander Bill Vernon, and Conference Chair Marsha Colten. The Conference was sponsored by GSPS and held at the Greenwich Hyatt in April. Over 125 Power Squadron members attended, including 27 volunteers from the Greenwich Squadron. Local guests included Roger Pisani, Dick Franck of OGYC, Greenwich Harbormaster Ian MacMillan, the RMA Melody Men and the Boys and Girls Club color guard.
